Our celebration will look different from years past, so we have put together some FAQs to help. Feel free to reach out to us if we do not answer all of your questions.
There will be no in-store distillery release this year. In an effort to give more fans across the country an opportunity to purchase Birthday Bourbon, our distillery release will be available through sweepstakes only. See below for more details.Â

What day is Old Forester Birthday Bourbon released?
The 2024 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon is available through sweepstakes only. The 2024 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon Sweepstakes is now open. Enter here for a chance to win the opportunity to purchase (1) bottle of the 2024 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon at Old Forester Distillery in Louisville, KY.Â
No purchase necessary. 21+. Prize is the opportunity to purchase one (1) bottle of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2024. Must collect prize at Old Forester Distillery in Louisville, KY during designated time frame. Travel is not included in the Prize. See full terms and conditions.
There will be no in-store distillery release on September 5th. Please do not make plans to travel to the distillery in anticipation of purchasing a bottle. There will be none on-site.

Will there be additional chances to purchase bottles of the 2024 Birthday Bourbon outside of this sweepstakes?
The distillery will have additional opportunities to purchase. Future releases will be “on random days and at random times” and may be in the form of a gift shop release or in conjunction with select tastings or tours. Additional opportunities to purchase will not be announced in advance. Â

Can I reserve a bottle?
Bottles cannot be reserved in advance.

Can someone else pick up my prize if I can not?
No. Only the person who is selected in the sweepstakes is permitted to purchase and pick-up the Prize. See full terms and conditions for more information.

If I am selected, what can I expect when I come to the distillery?
When arriving at the distillery, you will be required to show your government issued ID with proof of age, as well as, credit card with the same name shown on the ID. Cash will not be accepted. The email address must also match your ID and credit card.

What if I cannot make it to the distillery during the Purchase Window?
Unclaimed prizes will be returned to the distillery and may be released at a later time. Pickup extensions will not be granted and there will not be a “waitlist” created for unclaimed prizes.
