What day is Old Forester Birthday Bourbon released?
This year, 2026 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon is available for purchase through sweepstakes only. The 2026 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon Sweepstakes is now open. Enter here for a chance to win the opportunity to purchase (1) bottle of the 2026 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon at Old Forester Distillery in Louisville, KY.
No purchase necessary. 21+. Prize is the opportunity to purchase one (1) bottle of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2026. Must collect prize at Old Forester Distillery in Louisville, KY during designated time frame. See full terms and conditions.
There will be no in-store distillery release on September 2. Please do not make plans to travel to the distillery in anticipation of purchasing a bottle.

Will there be additional chances to purchase bottles of the 2026 Birthday Bourbon outside of this sweepstakes?
The distillery will have additional opportunities to purchase. Future releases will be “on random days and at random times” and may be in the form of a gift shop release or in conjunction with select tastings, tours or events. Additional opportunities to purchase will not be announced in advance.

Can I reserve a bottle?
Bottles cannot be reserved in advance.

Is my bottle free if I “win”?
No. Potential Winners will be given the opportunity to purchase (1) bottle of the 2026 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon at Old Forester Distillery in Louisville, KY.

Can someone else pick up my bottle if I can not?
No. Only the person who is selected in the sweepstakes is permitted to purchase and pick-up a bottle of 2026 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon. See full terms and conditions for more information.

If I am selected, what can I expect when I come to purchase my bottle at the distillery?
When arriving at the distillery, you will be required to show your government issued ID with proof of age, as well as, credit card with the same name shown on the ID. Cash will not be accepted. The email address must also match your ID and credit card.

Can I have my bottle delivered?
No. Potential Winners will be required to purchase and collect the bottle in-person at Old Forester Distillery at: 119 W Main Street, Louisville, KY, 40202 during the Purchase Window. See full terms and conditions.

What if I cannot purchase my bottle during the Purchase Window?
Unclaimed bottles will be returned to the distillery and may be released at a later time. Pick-up extensions will not be granted and there will not be a “waitlist” created for unclaimed bottles.
