In 1870, our founder George Garvin Brown was the first to seal his whiskey, Old Forester, in a glass bottle. What better way to celebrate his birthday and our favorite spirit (and we think yours, too), than with a festive Birthday Brunch!

About the 26th Edition of Birthday Bourbon:

Selected by Master Distiller Emeritus Chris Morris and Assistant Master Distiller Caleb Trigo, this release comes from the oldest warehouse at the Brown-Forman Distillery in Shively, Warehouse B. Due to a holiday weekend, the new make spirit was stored in the cistern room for an unusually long time – 6 days. The entry proof dropped from 125 to 124.4 due to tank venting. Entry proof has an impact on flavor development; in this case, it helped to create a uniquely sweet and fruity profile at 97 proof.

This year’s expression is 11 years old and offered at 97 proof. It was drawn from 212 barrels aged in Warehouse B, Floor 3.
