- 0.5 oz. Beet Shrub*
- 2 droppers Old Forester Bohemian Bitters
- 0.75 oz. Crème de Cacao
- 0.5 oz. Lemon Juice
A delightfully surprising trifecta- beets, chocolate, and citrus - join to create this wonderfully refreshing and balanced shrub cocktail.
Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into double old fashioned glass, over fresh ice. Garnish with lemon peel. *Beet Shrub. In a small sauce pan, combine ½ cup sliced beets, 1 sprig rosemary, ½ cup water, ½ cup sugar. Bring to boil, remove from heat and allow to cool. Strain out solids. Add ½ cup apple cider vinegar.
