Ingredients

  • 2oz Old Forester 86
  • 1/3oz Honey syrup (2:1)
  • 1/3oz Apricot liqueur
  • Small handful of Sage leaves
  • 1 dash Aromatic bitters
  • 1 dash Black Lemon bitters

Instructions

The Old Forester Mint Julep cocktail recipe is a traditional, from-scratch build of the south’s most infamous warm-weather cocktail. Shake things up with this twist on a classic. Pack mint julep cup with crushed ice. In a mixing glass, combine all ingredients. Lightly bruise sage leaves with a muddler, strain contents into julep cup. Garnish with a bouquet of sage. *Make sure to slap sage and insert a straw into the ice near sage.
