Long IslandCreated By Tracy Johanna
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Old Forester Rye
.75 oz Winter Spiced Syrup
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
Instructions: Stir all ingredients with ice, strain into a rocks glass, express a fresh orange twist around the rim of the glass and garnish with whole spices (if you have them). My syrup was made like a typical simple syrup: equal parts sugar and water, bring to a boil and lower heat to simmer. When simmering, toss in your choice of spices (I used whole cinnamon sticks lightly cracked, cloves, and star anise) and reduce to desired consistency.
